Bedroom One

This is a double room (bed is 140x190) but with more than enough room to include a cot for a baby or young child.  Electric heating in both the bedroom and the ensuite bathroom, double rooms have showers, shower gel and hand wash are available as is a hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities.

Original features are the beams and the stone wall above the old fireplace. The door to this room was originally to the right of the fireplace with a huge walnut wardrobe covering the whole of the wall, unfortunately we had to change the position of the corridor so all has been blocked up and due to a leaking roof when we purchased the property the wardrobe had rotted away so was removed.

The room overlooks the courtyard just above the well and you can see the staircase leading up to the balcony and kitchen entrance.

Bedroom Two

This has a double bed (140x190) and a small single bed (80x190) and again there is room for a cot for a baby or toddler.  Electric heating as in room one again with a shower, shower gel, hand wash and hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities.

Original features in this room are the beams and there are two different types of flooring, the oak flooring as you come into the bedroom is original and showed where the bedrooms once finished and where the barn started.  The window in this room was once the door to the barn where they would pull up the hay and store it for the animals in the stables just beneath.

This room also overlooks the courtyard but a little further down to room one, so looking out you have all of the courtyard to your left as is the staircase up to the balcony.

Bedroom Three (Family Room)

This is our large family room although available for couples too.  It has a large king size bed (160x200) and on the same floor as this a sofa bed and a small kitchenette.  The kitchenette consists of a microwave, portable two place electric hob, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and fridge and there is a table with benches, crockery and cutlery.

This room is also heated with electric and has the added bonus of air conditioning in the summer, the bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, shower gel, hand wash and hairdryer.

All of the wood work in this room is original and we have cleaned up the wall behind the bed exposing the stonework.

The view from the small window is right at the far end of the courtyard and looks down to a fenced off area that is to be planted up with flowers and a small tree.  On the other side of the room is the original window and this looks out onto a pathway running along the back of the building. We are told that the property to the far right of this window, which is now the tabac, used to be one of the towers of the old village and the ramparts would have run along this passage, parts of these are still visible.

In the family room there is a staircase that leads up to the mezzanine with two single beds for children as there is restricted head height.
At the far end there is a raised area that the children can play on and this has toys, books, paper and crayons,  this area can also have a cot for a young child.
